Netflix reveals new cast members joining ‘Squid Game’ Season 2

Netflix recently revealed new details about the highly anticipated second season of “Squid Game.”
What happened: During the streaming giant’s recent Tudum fan event, which was held in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday, both returning and new cast members of the hit series were announced.
Cast reveals: Lee Jung-jae will return as Seong Gi-hun, while other stars such as Lee Byung-hun, who plays the Front Man, and Wi Ha-jun, who plays Hwang Jun-ho, will also be coming back.
New cast members include Yim Si-wan (“Unlocked”), Kang Ha-neul (“The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure”), Park Sung-hoon (“The Glory”) and Yang Dong-geun (“Yaksha: Ruthless Operations”).
About “Squid Game”: Hwang Dong-hyuk’s hit survival drama TV series follows Seong Gi-hun, a man struggling with debt who decides to compete against 455 other contestants in a series of lethal children’s games for the chance to win a massive cash prize.
The series has won several awards, including Emmys, Screen Actors Guild awards and a Golden Globe, since it premiered on Netflix on Sept. 17, 2021.
An official release date for “Squid Game” Season 2, which will also introduce the “boyfriend” of giant “Red Light, Green Light” doll Young-hee, has yet to be announced.
