A Malaysian restaurant is making waves online for its head-scratching new offering: “pizza ramen.”
About the dish: On Wednesday, Menya Shi Shi Do took to social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to advertise the unique ramen.
“Discover another weird bowlful umami goodness as Pizza takes the center piece of our Limited Edition Ramen,” the restaurant wrote.
The dish is Menya Shi Shi Do’s first collaboration with Pepo Pizza, a neighboring Italian restaurant. Customers can expect a bowl of creamy tonkotsu broth with spicy basil, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, black olives, an egg, chashu, parmesan cheese and a slice of chicken pepperoni pizza.
About the restaurant: Menya Shi Shi Do, which is located in Selangor, Malaysia, has previously made headlines for its past offerings, such as its chili crab, croissant, chocolate, boba and durian ramens.
Social media users react: Netizens were quick to comment on Menya Shi Shi Do’s recent posts, with many of them poking fun at its pizza ramen.
“Wow …… first come durian ramen…. now come pizza ramen….after that wat else is coming?” one Facebook user asked, to which another replied, “Add sauerkraut in this pizza ramen.”
