Jason Scott Lee confirms cameo role in ‘Lilo and Stitch’ live-action remake
Jason Scott Lee, who voiced David Kawena in the 2002 animated “Lilo and Stitch” film, has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming live-action remake.
“I got a little, small [part]. They threw me some bones, and I said, ‘Yeah, absolutely! In any capacity.’ I just wanted to be a part of it, so it’s a three-day cameo, and I think it will be fun,” Scott remarked.
Returning and new cast: Other cast members from the original 2002 film are also expected to make appearances in the live-action adaptation. Tia Carrere, who voiced Nani, and Amy Hill, who voiced Mrs. Hasagawa, are reportedly set to return. Additionally, Chris Sanders, the original voice of Stitch, will be reprising his iconic role.
The new cast includes Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Agudong as Nani, Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena, Zach Galifianakis as the alien Jumba, Billy Magnussen as fellow alien Pleakley and Courtney B. Vance as former C.I.A. agent-turned-social worker Cobra Bubbles.
Other details: The film is directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright.
