Rapper Zico is back as a ‘Grown Ass Kid’ in new EP
South Korean rapper and producer Zico made his long-awaited return Wednesday with the new EP “Grown Ass Kid” and the title track music video “
Zico wrote, arranged and composed the last three songs of the EP, according to his Instagram post.
“Zico tested positive through a self-test kit on the 25th and the results were confirmed through a rapid antigen test on the same day, Zico is currently showing mild symptoms of sore throat and body aches. He is in self-isolation and is being treated at his home,” the statement said.
Although the release of his new EP was not postponed, Zico’s scheduled appearances for this week on music shows such as “Mnet Countdown,” “Music Bank” and “Inkigayo,” have been canceled.
Over two years prior to “Grown Ass Kid,” Zico released the five-track EP “Random Box,” led by the title track “Summer Hate” featuring Rain. His viral hit “Any Song,” which started a TikTok dance challenge, was also released over two years ago.
Zico debuted in the boy group Block B in 2011. He is currently the CEO of his label KOZ Entertainment, which is now a subsidiary of Hybe Corporation.
