After filming a suicide victim’s dead body, terrorizing Japanese citizens with tasteless pranks, and exhibiting racism towards Asians in the past, Logan Paul has finally done something unforgivable in the eyes of YouTube.
In one of his latest VLogs, Paul films himself fishing Koi fish out of a pond and trying to give it CPR, then tasering two dead rats on his patio. This sparked outrage from PETA, calling for the video to be removed from YouTube.

“How many chances does Logan Paul get?” PETA said in a statement. “PETA finds it repulsive that this ‘internet personality’ with millions of impressionable young followers has not learned the lesson that there is sadness, not humor, in the death of others. This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else, as it could desensitize young people to cruelty to animals, so PETA is calling on the platform to remove it.”
At 12:00 am PST today, YouTube announced that it has suspended all ads on Paul’s channel.

“This is not a decision we made lightly,” a YouTube rep told The Washington Post. “We believe he has exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”
YouTube says that this pattern of behaviors, including encouraging his followers to do the Tide Pod challenge in a now-deleted tweet and the infractions in the Vlog mentioned above, violated the “advertiser-friendly” guidelines when he attempted to monetize the video, according to The Verge.
Such a move by YouTube will surely take a hit on Paul’s bottom line, who made up to $1.2 million a month according to Social Blade before getting taken off YouTube’s preferred advertisers list. After that, it was estimated that his earnings has gone down to $700,000 a month at max.
Now that money will be gone; here’s to hoping Paul will soon follow suit.
