The label of BLACKPINK and Big Bang, YG Entertainment, has addressed the rumor that two of its talents, Jennie and G-Dragon are dating.
YG Entertainment released a statement on Wednesday to address the circulating rumor that the two K-pop superstars are dating, but the company neither confirmed nor denied the news, according to Elle.
“We cannot confirm anything,” the company said in the statement. “We can’t confirm anything about our artists’ private lives. We ask for your understanding.”
South Korean media outlet Dispatch published an exclusive report on the alleged couple this week. G-Dragon, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, and Jennie, whose real name is Jennie Kim, has been in a relationship for over a year now, the report claims.
Dispatch also posted photos of the K-pop stars’ alleged “secret meetings” in G-Dragon’s penthouse home in Seoul’s Hannam-dong neighborhood.
The report claims Jennie registered her car in the private parking’s security system to not go through the two-step verification process every time she visits. The penthouse also has its own private and separate entrance, AsiaOne reported.
The publication also claims their relationship is an open secret within YG Entertainment. An unnamed source close to the two claims, “A lot of people in YG noticed their relationship. Jennie’s mother is also aware of their relationship. She is thankful to him for his thoughtful care.”
Jennie’s manager would reportedly drop and pick up the singer from G-Dragon’s house during her visits. She was also spotted leaving his home on Jan. 31 to go to a concert venue.
