Washington man accused of trying to invade Asian home charged with murder

The man accused of trailing an Asian couple before attempting to break into their home in Kent, Washington, has now been charged with murder in connection to a fatal carjacking incident.
New allegations: Alhusaine Drammeh, 18, and an accomplice, Jonathan Montejano, 19, allegedly shot a man to death while trying to steal his car in the parking lot of the O’Reilly Auto Parts store at 32411 Pacific Highway South on Oct. 25. The victim, identified as Robert Blowe III, who tried to defend himself with a gun, was shot in the chest.
Drammeh and Montejano both pleaded not guilty to murder charges on Monday. Prosecutors asked the judge to hold them at King County Jail without bail.
Previous charges: Drammeh is already being held on a $1 million bail for charges related to home invasions targeting Asian families. Police say he is the man seen in a widely reported security video trying to forcefully enter the Asian-owned home in the 23800 block of 135th Place SE on Oct. 15.
Drammeh has also been linked to a second home invasion incident in the 12300 block of SE 204th Street on Oct. 16. The victims, who are also Asian — and included a 5-year-old boy — were forced by four to five armed Black males to lay face-down on the floor before they demanded money and jewelry.
Drammeh was charged with attempted burglary in the first degree, burglary in the first degree and unlawful imprisonment in connection with those incidents. He pleaded not guilty to all last week.
What’s next: Drammeh is scheduled to return to court for all his charges on Nov. 27. Montejano will also appear for his arraignment.
