A Japanese restaurant that opened for business in Cincinnati last month is reportedly offering a different kind of dining experience to residents in the Tri-State area.
Key details: Located on Montgomery Road in Cincinnati, Kawa Revolving Sushi, which opened on Aug. 5, is the first conveyor belt sushi restaurant in the Tri-State area, according to WCPO 9.
What to expect: After sitting at one of the restaurant’s tables, diners can pick plates from the conveyor belt. If they cannot find what they are looking for from the selection, diners can instead opt to order from an iPad, which will be delivered via a toy car above the conveyor belt.
A Kawa staff member will reportedly assist the diner and explain how to operate the iPad once they are seated.
They also have robots: Besides a conveyor belt and toy cars, Kawa has also employed robots to serve diners their orders and drinks.
Other details: The restaurant offers affordable sushi meals, ranging from $3.25 for the lidded plates on the conveyor belt to up to $12.39 for specialty rolls. Once done, a Kawa staff member will total up how many plates a diner consumed for their meal as well as the orders they made from the iPad.
