The second season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” now has an official release date.
Season 1 of the hit series, which was created by author Jenny Han (“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before“) for Amazon Prime Video, was released last summer.
Since then, fans have been waiting for the show’s next season to find out what happens to 16-year-old Korean American protagonist Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung), who finds herself in a love triangle with brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).
On May 5, Prime Video shared a video on YouTube titled “Summer Lasts Longer This Season.”
In the video, the show’s cast members, including Tung, Casalegno, Briney, Sean Kaufman, David Iacono, Rain Spencer and Elsie Fisher, can be seen checking their phones after receiving a message from Han in a group chat called “Summer Fam.”
Han’s message, which appears to have been “accidentally” sent to the actors, features the release date of the first episode of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” Season 2, as well as those of its five subsequent episodes.
Episode 1, “Love Lost, Love Scene, Love Sick,” will premiere on July 14, followed by “Love Game” on July 21, “Love Fool” on July 28, “Love Fest” on Aug. 4, “Love Affair” on Aug. 11 and the Season 2 finale, “Love Triangle,” on Aug. 18.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” is an onscreen adaptation of Han’s novel trilogy of the same name.
All seven episodes of Season 1 were released on June 17, 2022.
The show’s directors include Jesse Peretz, Jeff Chan and Erica Dunton.
Peretz, Han, Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, Nne Ebong, Karen Rosenfelt and Gabrielle Stanton serve as its executive producers, while Marty Scott, Deborah Swisher, Jenny Zhang and Nicole Colombie serve as its producers.
