BTS’ Suga teams up with IU for new single ‘People Pt. 2’
BTS’ Suga has dropped “People Pt. 2,” featuring IU, a pre-release from his upcoming album “D-DAY”
Released under his pseudonym, Agust D, the song is a sequel to “People,” which was initially featured on Suga’s second mixtape, “D-2,” released in 2020. It also marks another collaboration with IU as the duo previously worked on the 2020 hit “Eight.”
At the end of the “People Pt. 2” music video, Suga tells listeners how the song came to be: “This song was written when I couldn’t do anything due to COVID-19 and when I thought ‘I lost everything’. So it conveys the message I wanted to tell myself.”
“D-DAY” will serve as the finale in his Agust D mixtape trilogy, which started in 2016. The solo album will arrive on Aug. 21, alongside the BTS member’s Disney+ documentary “The Road to D-Day.”
Earlier this week, Suga also was announced as an NBA ambassador. The BTS star will also begin his first-ever U.S. solo tour at the end of April.
