Paramount+ releases official trailer for ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Series 2’

Paramount+ released the official trailer for the second season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” on Wednesday.
The upcoming six-episode season, which will be set in the 23rd century during the decade before “Star Trek: The Original Series,” follows the crew of the USS Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike.
Main cast members include Anson Mount as Pike, Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M’Benga and Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley/Number One. Meanwhile, special guest stars include Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and Dan Jeannotte as George Samuel “Sam” Kirk.
Jonathan Frakes, who famously played Commander William Riker on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and previously directed various series and films in the franchise, notably directed a Season 2 episode that serves as a crossover with the animated series “Star Trek: Lower Decks.”
“Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Series 2” will be available for streaming on Paramount+ starting on June 15. Check out its official trailer below:
