Rap legend Snoop Dogg features Asian artists Joe Flizzow, SAAY, Yung Raja on new album

Rap legend Snoop Dogg features several Asian artists in his new album, “Snoop Dogg Presents Algorithm (The Global Edition).”
Groundbreaking album: Filipino American singer Malaya Watson, Singaporean rapper Yung Raja, Malaysian rapper Joe Flizzow and South Korean singer SAAY are featured alongside other international stars for Snoop Dogg’s latest music project released on Dec. 10, reported uDiscoverMusic.
- First released on Nov. 19, “Algorithm” originally contained 25 tracks and featured 32 artists, including Method Man & Redman, Eric Bellinger, Usher, Blxst, Fabolous and Dave East.
- For “The Global Edition,” Snoop Dogg beefed up the album by including 15 bonus remixes that feature global artists under Universal Music Group (UMG).
- In the album, Yung Raja performs with Larry June, October London and Snoop Dogg for the track “Qualified,” while SAAY and Flizzow can be heard on separate versions of the track “Alright,” which also features verses from Redman & Method Man and Nefertitti Avani.
- Meanwhile, Malaya performs “Anxiety” and “Inspiration,” two tracks that were also part of the original release.
Asian support: The inclusion of several Asian stars in the album continues Snoop Dogg’s history of supporting artists from Asia.
- In 2019, Vietnamese pop star Son Tung M-TP collaborated with Snoop Dogg on a music video called “Hãy Trao Cho Anh (Give It To Me),” which features a verse from the veteran rapper, NextShark previously reported.
- In the same year, Snoop Dogg also collaborated with the Chinese rap group Higher Brothers on the song “Friends & Foes,” the theme song of the hit Netflix show “Wu Assassins.”
- The legendary rapper has also expressed support for Asian talent, giving artists who catch his attention shoutouts on his social media accounts, according to Mashable.
