Thrilled Passenger Discovers He Can Slide to Reach His Gate at Singapore’s Changi Airport
By Ryan General
For several years now, Singapore’s Changi Airport has maintained its reputation for being among the best airports in the world for its lush gardens, state-of-the-art facilities, a wide range of cuisine, and other unique amenities.
From its swimming pool to its 24-hour free cinema, Changi Airport has so much to offer that the rest of the world’s airports can barely keep up.
One passenger named Yusuf El Askary was pleasantly surprised to discover another special feature this airport has to offer that many others do not: a slide that allows passengers to arrive at the gate in the fastest and most fun way possible.
Using his boarding pass, El Askary was able to gain entry to a multi-story slide located in Terminal 4.
In a video clip uploaded by Caters Clips on YouTube, El Askary shows his excitement as he gets into the tube and slides down to the front of Changi’s famous “red chandelier,” a giant playground that was unveiled last year.
“I had never seen anything like it at an airport, I couldn’t believe it was true until I actually tried it,” El Askary was quoted by Caters News Agency as saying.

Changi Airport has an even bigger slide in Terminal 3, which is known as the “world’s tallest slide within an airport,” spanning four stories that run from Level 1 to Basement 3.
Passengers are required to spend at least $10 at any restaurant or retail shop in Changi Airport to gain access to either of these slides.
