Rich Brian Was Craving Indonesian Food in NY, So Go-Jek Delivered from Indonesia
By Ryan General
Indonesian delivery service Go-Jek went above and beyond the call of duty when they heard that New York-based hip-hop star Rich Brian was craving authentic Indonesian food.
Rich Brian recently visited Indonesia to meet President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo. Upon returning to the United States, he realized that he was missing some dishes from his native country.
When the rapper posted a tweet expressing his cravings, his Indonesian fans quickly called on the popular local delivery service.
Go-Jek replied by asking him to send his address as well what he wanted to eat.
Brian then informed Go-Jek that he was already in New York but the company assured him that it “will find a way” to deliver the food.
Go-Jek made good on their promise, and on Tuesday, Brian’s label 88rising shared a picture of a Go-Jek driver handing the food directly to Brian.
“Y’all really flew the way out here,” the tweet read.
Rich Brian, who became a viral sensation in 2016 for his debut single “Dat $tick”, is set to release his latest single, “Kids”, on July 26 along with his new album, “The Sailor”.
