What started as a social media joke has now turned into something serious as director and actor Stephen Ford pitched a Disney+ spin-off for Agent Jimmy Woo played by Randall Park.
Park, 46, received a cult following online for his role as Jimmy Woo in the Disney+ series “WandaVision.” Fans of the show later speculated the character’s spin-off, and Ford suggested a show in the style of FOX’s “X-Files,” Slash Film reported.

Ford’s post in January gained much attention and went viral. He also tagged fellow director Peyton Reed, who worked on the first “Ant-Man” movie in 2015 and its sequel “Ant-Man and the Wasp” in 2018, where Park first played the character.

Ford compared the attention his spin-off project received to that of “Deadpool,” a movie that was greenlit after a clip was accidentally “leaked” online.

Fans are already showing their support for the character in potentially his very own show. Artist BossLogic, who is well-known for his fan art of potential comic book movie/series casting rumors, made a poster inspired by Ford’s spin-off project.

“I think that’s a great idea,” he said. “Something like that would be very cool to be a part of. I mean, it’s already just such a dream to be in the Marvel universe but to be able to keep playing Jimmy Woo would be incredible.”
