Rain, IVE’s Wonyoung and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan unveiled as MCs for KCON LA 2023
The MCs for all three nights of KCON LA this year have been announced.
MC duties: Headlining the opening night’s concert on Aug. 18 will be Wonyoung from K-pop girl group IVE. Veteran performer Rain will be hosting Saturday’s performances, and Bang Chan from the boy group Stray Kids will helm the third and final night of performances.
A three-night lineup: Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, KCON LA will feature a total of 20 Korean music acts spread across three days. The lineup is star-studded, with Friday’s concert boasting IVE, SHINee’s Taemin, NCT’s Taeyong, NMIXX, the Monsta X sub-unit Shownu x Hhungwon, Cravity and WayV. On Saturday, ATEEZ, INI, Kep1er, Rain, xikers and Zerobaseone will grace the stage, while Sunday’s sets will include (G)I-DLE, ITZY, Everglow, JO1, Lapillus, Stray Kids and The Boyz.
As is KCON tradition, performances will include special stages, such as for NCT U (Taeyong X Ten) and NMIXX. Kep1er, XG and xikers will be showcased on Saturday, and Sunday’s gig will treat fans to JO1 and The Boyz, who will debut a performance from their sub-unit.
Daytime activities: KCON LA will also have convention activities, panels with guest speakers, workshops and their “Showcase: Nice to Meet U,” which includes performances from Limelight and 8TURN on Friday, CRAXY and VERIVERY on Saturday and JUST B and XG on Sunday.
