New Pokémon Detective Pikachu Trailer Has Fans Freaking Out
Who would have thought Ryan Reynold’s next act would be voicing Pikachu in the just released Pokémon Detective Pikachu Trailer.
The trailer starts off with our protagonist Tim Goodman, played by Justice Smith, walking through Ryme City, abruptly ending a conversation with “I’m not,” when being compared to his father.
Goodman had failed dreams of being a trainer, until the house break-in of a lifetime with Pikachu changes things.
“Woah, you can understand me. I’ve been so lonely,” was Reynold’s voice coming out of Pikachu’s mouth, along with a real life adaptation of Pikachu.
In fact, all the Pokémon have come to life in this movie. They can be seen clip after clip as Goodman and Pikachu team up to fight evil and find Goodman’s missing father.
This trailer already has some great lines said by Pikachu including: “This magic has brought us together. And that magic is called hope.”
The internet is already freaking out, with Twitter users welcoming Pikachu with open arms.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to witness the magic until Summer 2019.
