Nike’s massively popular Air Force 1 sneaker is getting a delicious makeover via a collaboration with Nobu Matsuhisa of the world-renowned Nobu restaurant.
The global brands are releasing a limited-edition sneaker dubbed the Sushi Force 1, co-designed by Chris Stamp of Stampd clothing.
In the design, the beloved classic “Triple White” Air Force 1 serves as a canvas and is adorned with special signage that references the chef and Beverly Hills, one of the restaurant’s most popular outlets.
The sneaker’s heels and tongue tags sport the “Beverly Hills Sushi Club” logo while the shoelaces are printed with “SF-1”, “Stampd” and “Matsuhisa.”
The Sushi Force 1 will be sold for $250 exclusively at Sushi Club, with the official launch date still yet to be announced.
In an Instagram post, Stamp unveiled the collaboration with the caption: “Honored to have worked together with @Nike and @therealnobu to create a limited amount of ‘SF-1s’. With the AF1 being my favorite shoe of all time and a true staple of Los Angeles, much like the menu at Matsuhisa, it was only right to add this one to the uniform.”
The Nobu x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sushi Force 1” has already generated excitement among Nike and Nobu fans online.
“Just imagine you get your collab with Nike and you sit down and show them this creativity and everyone is just so outshined and everyone is just giving you fire emojis because this is going to sell out in a matter of seconds!” one commenter wrote. “Amazing job on this collab I just can’t wait till they drop might have to buy.”
“Ima need all the size 9’s I can get please 🙌🔥 congrats on this colab [sic] G,” another chimed in.
