Netflix renews ‘To All the Boys’ spin-off ‘XO Kitty’ for 2nd season
Netflix has announced Season 2 of the “To All the Boys” spin-off teen rom-com series “XO Kitty.”
About the show: “XO Kitty” centers around Kitty Song Covey, the younger sister of Lara Jean Song Covey as she navigates her own love life and friendships at a boarding school in South Korea, the Korean Independent School of Seoul.
The show premiered on May 18. Its debut earned it the No. 2 position on Netflix’s English TV List with 72.1 million hours viewed.
Cast and crew: “XO Kitty” is from the mind of “To All the Boys” creator and author Jenny Han, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Other executive producers include Sascha Rothchild and Matt Kaplan.
The series stars Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, Minyeong Choi as Kitty’s boyfriend Dae, Gia Kim as Kitty’s frenemy Yuri, Sang Heon Lee and Anthony Keyvan as KISS students Min Ho and Q, respectively, Peter Thurnwald as the newbie teacher Alex, Michael K. Lee as Professor Lee and Yunjin Kim as Yuri’s mom.
Season 2 details: A release date for Season 2 has yet to be revealed. However, the cast did share an announcement video on Instagram.
