By Ryan General
Naomi Osaka secured her first Wimbledon victory since 2018 by defeating France’s Diane Parry on Monday.
The victory, which comes on the eve of her daughter’s first birthday, marks a significant milestone in her comeback after taking a break from tennis last year. Osaka, who is currently ranked 113th and playing on a wildcard, advances to the second round to face American teenager Emma Navarro on Wednesday.
