Naomi Osaka welcomes baby girl with rapper Cordae
Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka has given birth to a baby girl with her rapper boyfriend Cordae.
The announcement: In an interview with People magazine, a source reported that the four-time Grand Slam singles champion is officially a mother.
“They are doing well,” the source said.
Cordae also announced the news at his latest show in Calgary Stampede, where he told the crowd he is officially a “proud papa,” according to TMZ.
The couple, who gave birth in Los Angeles, has yet to address the birth of their first baby on their social media accounts.
Pregnancy: Osaka previously announced her pregnancy in January shortly after withdrawing from the 2023 Australian Open. The 25-year-old shared a photo of an ultrasound scan on Instagram along with screenshots of “life update” notes in Japanese and English.
I realize that life is so short and I don’t take any moments for granted, everyday is a new blessing and adventure. I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future. One thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone, “that’s my mom” haha.
About Osaka: Osaka, who started dating Cordae in 2019, is a former world No. 1 player and a two-time Australian Open champion. She has not played a competitive match since September 2022 at the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. Osaka has plans to return to the 2024 Australian Open.
