Asian-Canadian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, Angela Lee, is now officially engaged to fellow martial artist, Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner, Bruno Pucci.
The couple, who have been dating since January of this year, made the engagement announcement on Lee’s Instagram account on October 21 during a trip to Hawaii, according to Channel NewsAsia.
“YES! YES! YES! A million times, YES! Bruno Pucci, thank you for completing my fairytale. I can’t wait to (officially) be yours forever!” the 21-year-old fighter said in her post.
Lee, who is of South Korean and Singaporean descent, became the world’s youngest MMA champion after beating Japanese veteran fighter Mei Yamaguchi in May 2016. She remains undefeated with a record of 8-0 — seven submissions and one by decision.
“YES! I’m so lucky to have found you @angelaleemma ! I’m super excited to build our future together and enjoy this new journey … Love you now and forever, my future wife!” the 27-year-old jiu-jitsu trainer with Evolve MMA and fighter for One Championship wrote in his Instagram post.
