Matthew McConaughey sure had a great time with his family at a BTS concert.
Appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, the “Serenity” star revealed that his 10-year-old son, Levi, happens to be a big BTS fan.
“Levi wanted to go see BTS for his birthday, his favorite band, BTS,” McConaughey told DeGeneres. “They’re South Korean, and my son is walking around the house months before he wants to go to this concert and he knows all the songs. He was rapping Korean.”
And so McConaughey and his wife, Camila Alves, took Levi to the “Love Yourself” world tour concert in Dallas in September. Apparently, they “had a blast.”
“We took a couple of his friends, Camila and I went, and we had a blast,” the 49-year-old actor said. “We got out of our seats, we got right down in the pit and broke a sweat dancing.”
DeGeneres also recalled BTS’ appearance on her show and the screaming that erupted from the audience, telling McConaughey that it must be insane at the concert.
“It was, it was insane,” the actor agreed, adding later, “It was fun.”
McConaughey appeared on the show for the 20th anniversary of his movie with DeGeneres, “EdTV,” which co-starred Woody Harrelson, Jenna Elfman and Geoffrey Blake, to name a few.
People are thrilled that McConaughey’s son is an ARMY, the official moniker of a BTS fan:
