M3GAN models in Heaven by Marc Jacobs campaign
The creepy artificially intelligent (AI) doll from James Wan’s box-office hit “M3GAN” is the latest model for direct-to-consumer fashion line Heaven by Marc Jacobs.
On Wednesday, the design label posted two photos of M3GAN wearing an oversized hoodie, black boots and what appears to be a denim skirt. The new campaign was shot by Harley Weir and styled by Danielle Emerson.
Several Instagram users were quick to comment on the unexpected post, which has already garnered over 68,000 likes.
“THE DOLLS CHUCKY AND ANNABELLE AINT DOIN IT LIKE HER DONT PLAY,” one user declared.
“The human brain isn’t meant to comprehend this,” another user said, while another wrote, “Hhhhh?”
Marc Jacobs himself even commented on the post, saying, “So sick. I love it.”
Back in December 2022, Heaven notably released a capsule collection in collaboration with iconic Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar-wai.
“M3GAN,” which was produced by Wan and Jason Blum, became the country’s second highest-grossing film of the year in January after earning more than $30 million on its opening weekend.
The sci-fi horror film follows Gemma (Allison Williams), a roboticist who creates a lifelike doll named M3GAN (Amie Donald) for her recently orphaned niece, Cady (Violet McGraw).
Besides Williams, Donald and McGraw, “M3GAN” also stars Brian Jordan Alvarez and Ronny Chieng, who plays the role of David, the CEO of the company that helped produce the AI doll.
