“League of Legends,” a widely popular MOBA game, has unveiled the designs of its first in-game “Prestige Skin” created in partnership with fashion label Louis Vuitton.
The LV skins, which will be available for champions Qiyana and Senna, were designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, LV’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections. The partnership marks the first time a luxury brand has produced custom skins for an esports game.

The first of LV’s new skins will be unlockable starting on November 10, coinciding with the League of Legends World Championship Finals in Paris, reports .
“The cuts, the patterns, that was all brought to the table by Louis Vuitton,” Seth Haak, “League of Legends” art director on skins, was quoted as saying. “It was really a dream collaboration. Worst-case scenario, we just put the logo on them and it turns into a NASCAR-type deal. But they came to us, and the collaboration was really good.”
The first League of Legends LV skin unveiled was the True Damage Qiyana Prestige Edition. In the image, Qiyana’s weapon is shown covered in the iconic Louis Vuitton patterns.

To unlock this exclusive skin, players will have to buy the 2019 Worlds Pass for 1,650 Riot Points — the game’s primary currency — which costs a little over $10. Players can also choose to grind out games to earn tokens to buy the skin from an in-game shop. Senna’s Prestige Skin is set to be released in early 2020.
League’s cosmetic skins come in five main pricing tiers: Deluxe (750 Riot Points), Superior (975 RP), Epic (1350 RP), Legendary (1820 RP), and Ultimate (2775/3250 RP). In real-world money, $25 can buy 3,500 RP.
Among the highlights of the final’s opening ceremony will be a live performance by a new music group called True Damage, composed of “League of Legends” champions Qiyana, Senna, Akali, Ekko and Yasuo.
As part of the partnership, the winner of the tournament will also be awarded a custom Louis Vuitton trunk designed to hold the trophy.
