Trailer for Korean adaptation of ‘Little Women’ features stars from ‘All of Us Are Dead,’ ‘Squid Game’

South Korean cable network tvN has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming Korean adaptation of “Little Women,” which will also be available to stream on Netflix.
The K-drama is a modern-day adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s coming-of-age novel of the same name.
Contrary to the original storyline, the upcoming adaptation of “Little Women” will center around three sisters instead of four. The tight-knit trio who grew up in poverty manage to find themselves embroiled in a life-altering incident that has them facing off against South Korea’s wealthiest family.
The trailer highlights each of the three sisters – In-ju, In-kyeong and In-hye – played by Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun and Park Ji-hu, respectively.
Last week, tvN unveiled a new promotional poster for the show with a caption that says, “Where are Kim Go-eun, Nam Ji-hyun and Park Ji-hoo heading to?”
The series is directed by Kim Hee-won, who is behind several popular television shows including the crime thriller “Vincenzo” (2021) and the period drama ”The Crowned Clown” (2019). Jeong Seo-kyung, known for her work on “The Handmaiden” (2016) and “Mother” (2018), is in charge of writing the series.
“Little Women” premieres on tvN on Sept. 3 at 9:10 p.m. KST, with new episodes airing every Saturday and Sunday night. New episodes will also become available to stream on Netflix at the same time in selected regions.
