Lana Condor Lost Her Phone in Her Poofy Met Gala Dress But Charles Melton Was There to Save the Day

Lana Condor’s first-ever attendance at the Met Gala was definitely a memorable one. The “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” actress graced the red carpets in a gloriously poofy, pink Giambattista Valli gown and shortly after she made her entrance and sat down, she ended up losing her purse – with her phone in it – inside her MASSIVE princess-like dress.
The 21-year-old actress found out the hard way that her Giambattista Valli Couture gown, was not a place of safekeeping for her purse and phone.
According to Teen Vogue, Condor and her company were already at the dinner portion of the Met Gala event when she suddenly realized that her phone was missing.
Instagram’s director of fashion partnerships, Eva Chen, helped condor search for her purse and phone in her dress, but they were both unsuccessful. She documented what happened in her Instagram story, saying: “True Story: @lanacondor’s dress was so big she lost her purse in it.”
“We literally had to call it and she had to see if she could feel it vibrating,” Chen said in her follow up Instagram story post.
Condor then posted on her own Instagram story that she couldn’t even feel her phone vibrate when Chen tried calling it. But luckily, “Riverdale” heartthrob Charles Melton came in to save the day.
He went under the table and used the flashlight on his phone to look for Condor’s purse. Melton was able to find the purse in her dress.
