Kylie Jenner Claims She Got Cut Off at 14, Became a Millionaire on Her Own
The youngest of the Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner, revealed on Monday that she’s been financially independent since she was 14.
Jenner, who is now 17, claims she has been paying for everything she has on her own. In an interview with InStyle UK, Jenner said:
“My Mum [Kris Jenner] cut me off financially three years ago so I pay for everything – my car, my gas and food as well as my clothes.”
Apparently, Jenner doesn’t need any money from her mother. While she still can’t legally purchase alcohol in the U.S., she’s already amassed millions through endorsements in addition to her salary from her family’s reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
At the tender age of 15, Jenner made $100,000 for lending her name to a nail polish company. Earlier this month, along with sister Kendall, the two launched a clothing line collection for Topshop that sold out online right after its debut. And earlier this year, Jenner became the ambassador for skincare line Nip + Fab, a company most known for anti-aging products like anti-wrinkle creams.
Although her lifestyle is luxurious, Jenner claimed to Fault magazine that material things aren’t everything to her:
“I’m not materialistic. I love clothes and all that stuff, but I don’t need it to live. I feel like, not that I’ve had everything, but once you feel you’ve had everything at a young age, you can either go down a path of being spoiled and self-centered, or you see it isn’t everything.”
Earlier this year, Jenner dropped a cool $2.7 million on a 4,900-square-foot house in The Oaks, a gated community in Calabasas — her mom reportedly helped her find the place, but did not pay for it.
