Ken Jeong Was Just Cast in ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Directors Anthony and Joseph Russo, the brothers behind many of Marvel Universe’s most beloved films, are looking to re-connect with past collaborators in their upcoming sequel to “Avengers: Infinity War” including comedian Ken Jeong.
“Crazy Rich Asians” star Ken Jeong — who worked with the Russo brothers on the popular sitcom “Community” — has allegedly been tapped to make a cameo in the highly anticipated “Avengers: Endgame,” according to Revenge of the Fans.
The details of the role are as of yet unclear, but this would not be the first time the brothers have traced back to their television roots to help with their movie casting choices.
For 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” the Russos included a cameo for Danny Pudi, who also starred in “Community” alongside Jeong. In 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War,” the brothers again briefly featured another actor from the hit cult sitcom, Jim Rash.
Then, in last year’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” the Russos were able to squeeze in a somewhat Easter Egg-esque cameo that featured Tobias Funke’s (David Cross) Blue Man from the 2003 series, “Arrested Development.”
Both Anthony and Joseph were executive producers for “Community” and had also directed a few seasons of the show in which Jeong appeared. The directors were also at the helm of the “Arrested Development” pilot, which garnered them an Emmy.
“Avengers: Endgame” will premiere in U.S. cinemas on April 26.
