K-pop subunit Odd Eye Circle, once a part of the girl group LOONA, has made a comeback with their new mini-album “Version Up.”
About the release: “Version Up” includes a total of six tracks and is led by the title track “Air Force One.” Group member Kim Lip worked in collaboration with Jaden Jeong, the founder of South Korean record label and entertainment agency Modhaus, on the title song’s lyrics. Jeong also notably contributed lyrics for the B-side “My Secret Playlist.”
Other credits on the new album include tripleS’ Sohyun on the track “Je Ne Sais Quoi” and longtime LOONA producer G-high.
About the subunit: Odd Eye Circle consists of Kim Lip, JinSoul and Choerry. The subunit originally debuted in 2017 with the album “Mix and Match” while LOONA was still with their former agency BlockBerry Creative.
What’s next: This is the subunit’s first release since all of its members successfully terminated their contracts with BlockBerry Creative earlier this year and joined Modhaus.
Odd Eye Circle’s return falls under a larger initiative, which Jeong has dubbed ARTMS (“Artemis Strategy”). Jeong has stated that ARTMS represents the activities of Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry and fellow ex-LOONA members Heejin and Haseul.

Other updates: Last month, ex-LOONA members Hyeju, Yeojin, Gowon, Hyunjin and Vivi signed with a new agency called CTDENM, led by former BlockBerry creative director Yoon Do-yeon.
Meanwhile, Yves is reportedly in talks with several prospective entertainment agencies, and Chuu has signed with entertainment agency ATRP.
