Comedian Jenny Yang Signs With WME, Joining Kumail Nanjiani and Jimmy O. Yang

Comedian, writer and advocate Jenny Yang has signed with global entertainment agency WME.

The Taiwanese-born talent, who was raised in California, is best known for creating and hosting “Comedy Crossing,” a virtual standup show set in the world of the popular simulation game “Animal Crossing.”

The show launched last year at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and has raised more than $30,000 for the Black Lives Matter movement, according to Deadline.

A former labor organizer, Yang currently uses her platform to raise awareness and spark conversations on diversity, immigration, media representation and intersectional feminism, among other issues.

Yang also founded The Comedy Comedy Festival, which features stand-up, sketch, improvised and scripted comedy shows from the best in Asian American comedic talent.

In 2016, President Barack Obama honored Yang as a “White House Champion of Change” for her leadership in “Asian American and Pacific Islander Art and Storytelling.”

Yang currently serves as an executive story editor on Fox’s “Last Man Standing” and co-host of Freeform’s flagship podcast “A Little Forward.” She also worked as an actor and writer for Busy Phillip’s “Busy Tonight” on E!.

WME, or simply Endeavor, represents musicians such as Camila Cabello, Ellie Goulding, FKA Twigs. Comedians include Aziz Ansari, Kumail Nanjiani and Jimmy O. Yang, among others.
