Japanese Wife Asks Husband to Help Fix Her Bad Temper, He Delivers
By Bryan Ke
A “stamp chart” made by a wife in Japan to promote anger management is now going viral for the incredibly adorable notes that her husband left for her.
Twitter user c__i__y__o admitted in her post, which has since been taken down, that she is short-tempered, and in order to fix this issue in their relationship, she created a stamp chart that she gave to her husband. He would then have to mark the days with the kanji for “love” enclosed in a heart when his wife didn’t get mad at something, as translated by SoraNews24.
“It’s embarrassing, but I’m very short-tempered. I wanted to fix it, so I made this stamp chart and had my husband give me a stamp if I didn’t get upset during that day. The messages he wrote me at the end of the week are so nice and full of love,” the original tweet reads.
She’s making a good effort to change herself for the better, and her husband is always there to encourage her in her anger management journey by leaving her cute notes at the end of each week – or even on a specific day.
Here’s the message he left on his wife’s stamp chart for the first week:
“It was a lot of fun just relaxing and spending winter break together.
Let’s make this year great too. Let’s go lots of fun places, eat lots of good food, and laugh a lot.”
However, after the first week, his wife had some sort of slip up on January 12, but it was still considered as successful since there was no other follow up after that day.
“I had to go back to work after break, but thanks to your help, it was easy. Every time I eat one of the delicious bento lunches you make me, I feel like I’m not alone, and I’m so thankful to have you. Going to the gym on Sundays, and going to Ginza too, we had a full week. Looking forward to next week,” the husband wrote in the note section for the second week.
Fortunately the following week went very smoothly without any hiccups or slip ups in her anger management. And as an adorable bonus, the husband even complimented her on January 20. He wrote: “You look so cute with your haircut. It looks great on you. My beautiful wife makes me feel so lucky.”
“We went to the gym a lot this week, we did well. I’m going to do my best, so let’s work hard together.
Thanks for showing [unnamed] around Tokyo over the weekend. It reminded me of when we went to Shirokane together, and was a fun time. So looking forward to our nice house being built!” the husband said in his end-of-the-week note to his wife.
His last week’s comment was even more heartwarming. The husband wrote:
“I’m sorry for being so useless on Sunday and making you feel bad.
I love you. You are my pillar, my axle, the foundation of everything I do and think. From here on, I want to do everything I can to make you happy, by paying attention to the small things as we continue our life together.”
It’s just wonderful to see couples supporting each other as they go through drastic changes and working their way to become a strong husband and wife, and sweet notes are definitely one way to show love!
