If you are in the market for a tasteful, ultra-luxe case for your iPhone, a Japanese company has you covered.
From Matsuba Factory comes carved and lacquered wooden pieces of art to enclose your iPhone 6/6s and iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus, as spotted by RocketNews24.
Located in Hiroshima, Matsuba Factory is woodworking company that goes back 70 years.
Each case is carved from a single slab of wood through machine and by hand. According to RocketNews, the cases are then glazed with a hida shunkei lacquer, which was designated a traditional craft by Japan in 1975.

The lacquer is applied by a traditional craftsman and, in addition to adding to the wood’s aesthetic, prevents it from warping due to humidity.

Although beautiful, Matsuba’s wooden cases are expensive at 30,000 yen ($243) each in their online store.
