Indian tech company brings in 4-legged new hire to boost paw-ductivity

An Indian tech company has recruited a four-legged employee to boost paw-ductivity and promote positive pup-culture.
Unleashing potential: Electric scooter manufacturer Ola Electric recently revealed that it has welcomed a new employee named “Bijlee,” an adorable dog whose name translates to “electricity.”
Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal introduced the 4-month-old pup on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a now-viral post that included photos of its official ID.
Pupfessional ID: The ID card humorously lists Bijlee’s employee code as “440V,” a witty reference to the standard voltage used in electric systems. Even its blood group is playfully described as “Paw +ve,” emphasizing her canine nature.
Bijlee’s emergency contact is listed as “BA’s Office,” likely referring to Aggarwal’s initials. Her mode of communication is the instant messaging platform Slack.
Top dog: In a separate post, Bijlee’s position is revealed to be the company’s official mascot and brand ambassador.
The dog even has its own X account.
No ruff days at the office: This is not the first time Ola Electric has embraced a pet-friendly work environment. In the past, Aggarwal has shared heartwarming posts featuring dogs at the workplace, showcasing the company’s appreciation for their furry companions.
Other prominent Indian companies like InMobi, OnePlus India and Zerodha have also adopted dogs and given them their own unique designations.
