Iko Uwais, Lewis Tan Star in New Netflix Series ‘Wu Assassins’

A trailer for the upcoming Netflix series “Wu Assassins,” starring Iko Uwais (“The Raid”) and Lewis Tan (“Into The Badlands”), has been released.
“Wu Assassins” follows the story of Kai Jin (Uwai), a Chinatown chef in modern day San Francisco, who has become entangled with the Chinese Triad, a criminal underground organization pursuing the deadly ancient power of the “Wu Xing.”
“After an encounter with a mystical spirit, Kai reluctantly becomes the Wu Assassin, using his enhanced martial arts skills to recover supernatural powers from five modern day criminals threatening to use them to destroy the world,” the official description reads via Entertainment Weekly.
Tan, who plays Lu Xin Lee, a custom garage owner who runs a car theft ring for the Triad, also teased “Wu Assassins” in a Twitter.
“Wu Assassins,” which premiers on August 8, will also stars Katheryn Winnick of “Vikings,” Byron Mann from the film “Skyscraper,” and “John Wick 3” main assassin Mark Dacascos.
