Yoshihiro Togashi announced the return of the beloved manga “Hunter x Hunter” on Twitter after a three-year hiatus.
A mysterious Twitter account bearing the name of the “Hunter x Hunter” mangaka (manga artist) posted a picture on Tuesday of the corner of a manga panel captioned “4 more episodes for the time being”.

While the news comes from a newly-created unverified account, “One Punch Man” illustrator Yusuke Murata took to Twitter to confirm that the account is, indeed, Togashi’s.

Created by Togashi in 1998, “Hunter x Hunter” is set in a world populated by Hunters, an elite group of licensed professionals tasked with embarking on fantastical adventures, from tracking down rare creatures and artifacts to capturing highly dangerous criminals.
The series follows the exploits of Gon, a young boy searching for his Hunter father; Killua, a member of the world’s most powerful assassin family; Kirupika, an orphan seeking revenge for his murdered clan; and Leorio, an aspiring doctor.
While “Hunter x Hunter” has been notorious for constant delays due to Togashi’s ongoing health issues, the announcement is a promising indication that the series’ return is on the horizon.
In the meantime, the manga’s 2011 anime adaptation is available to stream on Crunchyroll and HBO Max.
