Here’s What $200 Billion Looks Like in One Photo
What does $200 billion look like when it’s all in one place? Look no further than the picture above (click to enlarge), which features 28 technology executives along with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The photo opportunity arose when Xi, along with a large Chinese delegation, made a stop at Microsoft’s Seattle headquarters for the 8th annual US-China Internet Industry Forum.
Among the execs at the event were Apple’s Tim Cook, Alibaba’s Jack Ma, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella.
According to the Telegraph, the tech bosses in the photo have a combined wealth of more than $195.6 billion — and that figure doesn’t even account for the net worths of five of the Chinese tech execs featured.
The richest individual in the photo is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who is worth an estimated $47.8 billion. The second richest is Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg ($41.2 billion) and then Alibaba founder Jack Ma ($23.3 billion).
Conspicuously absent were Google founders Larry Page and Sergei Brin and Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Google has been blocked in China since 2010 after the company did not bow to its government’s demand that it censor its search results.
