Harvard Freshman Recreates Photo With School Officer 15 Years Later

An adorable photo of a toddler in the arms of a Harvard University police officer from 2004 has turned out to be prophetic 15 years later.
Crystal Wang was 3 years old when her father, Jin, snapped a photo of her in the arms of a Harvard University police officer during a campus visit.
When she recently returned to the campus as a member of Harvard’s Class of 2023, Wang decided to recreate the original image with Officer Charles Marren, CNN reports.
The new image shows the all-grown-up Wang posing with Marren who appears to have not aged at all.
According to Wang, she didn’t even know about the photo until her dad showed her after she was accepted into Harvard’s dual degree program with the Berklee College of Music.
At her dad’s suggestion, Wang checked to see if Marren still worked there, albeit a bit skeptical as she did not even know his name at the time.
Fortunately, when she posted the original photo on Instagram as she announced her college decision, a journalist for the Harvard Gazette saw her post and recognized Marren.
Through her, Wang was able to meet the officer again and recreate the picture.
When they finally reunited, Wang felt a genuine connection with Marren.
“It was just a really, really good time,” she was quoted as saying. “I really connected with him.”
Officer Marren also gave her his personal cell phone number so she can contact him should she ever needed anything.
