One of TV’s Hottest Asian Hunks Just Joined ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

The upcoming adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s best-selling novel “Crazy Rich Asians” just added actor and dancer Harry Shum Jr. to its stellar cast.
The “Glee” star will join an all-Asian cast including Constance Wu (“Fresh Off the Boat”), Michelle Yeoh (“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”), newcomer Henry Golding, Gemma Chan (“Humans”), rapper Awkwafina, and many others.
Directed by John M. Chu, “Crazy Rich Asians” follows American-born Chinese economics professor Rachel Chu, played by Wu, who travels to Singapore with her history professor boyfriend Nick Young (Golding) to his hometown of Singapore for the wedding of his best friend Colin Khoo, played by Chris Pang.
She eventually discovers that Nick comes from an incredibly wealthy family and that he’s the most eligible bachelor in Asia, with every woman in his hometown wanting to take Rachel out of the picture.
Shum is is set to play Astrid Leong’s (Chan) ex-boyfriend, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
He is best known for playing hunky football player Mike Chang on six seasons of “Glee”. He starred in “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny” in 2016, and currently plays a bisexual demon slayer in Freeform’s “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”.
“Crazy Rich Asians” is currently being filmed on location in Singapore and Malaysia, so you have plenty of time to catch up on reading and watch Shum dance around shirtless.
