TIME magazine’s 30 most influential teenagers for the year 2017 is finally out, and among the chosen teens for this year is Hawaii-based Filipino online celebrity and beauty vlogger, Bretman Rock.
Rock, who was born in the Philippines but relocated to Hawaii when he was still 7, has nearly 9 million followers on Instagram, 1.5 million on Twitter and about 2.2 million subscribers on YouTube.
The 19-year-old vlogger specializes in creating makeup content on social media. But what separates him from the rest of other online personalities is his sharp humor, according to local newspaper outlet, Philippine Star reported.
Some of the topics he likes to discuss in some of his videos include his haters, his appearance and of course, his friends and family, according to TIME.
Not only is Rock an online celebrity, but he is also now building up his career in the entertainment industry outside of cyberspace. He hosted the Miss Universe pre-show event earlier this year along with 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj.
He also has a few more tours lined up for 2017, and is scheduled to have a meet and greet in Dallas and Houston, Texas, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5, respectively. Then, his next destination is at the Bossanova Ballroom in Portland, Oregon, on Nov. 18 and on Nov. 19 at Columbia City Theater in Seattle, Washington.
