Father in China A‌rre‌st‌e‌d After Fa‌‌t‌a‌lly Sta‌b‌b‌i‌ng 10-Year-Old Boy for H‌u‌rtin‌g His Daughter

 

The gr‌ues‌ome incident happened at the Longshan Experimental Primary School in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province on Friday afternoon, South China Morning Post reported.

While carrying a fruit kn‌ife, the unnamed man entered the school with the intention of seeking revenge and immediately looked for the boy who h‌urt his daughter’s eye.

“The suspect … said his daughter had a painful eye after an argument with [the boy] at school on Wednesday,” the authorities said in their statement. “[He] was angry at the boy, so he brought a fruit knife to the school to seek revenge and hurt [the child].”

P‌o‌lic‌e found the body of the boy lying in a puddle of b‌lo od on the bathroom floor as the man smokes beside the body with the weapon nearby, according to Sina.

The boy unfortunately succumbed to his injuries three hours after he was rushed to the hospital. He reportedly suffered multiple knife wounds and a slash to his neck.

Prior to the incident, the children’s parents already reached common ground on Wednesday after they found out what happened in class through WeChat. Both parties agreed that the boy would apologize to the girl in front of their class.

However, in an audio message exchange later posted on social media, the male suspect expressed his worry that the incident could lead to the bullying of his daughter in the future.

“If someone bullied your son, would you stand for it?” the suspect can be heard saying in the recording.

 

“My greatest wish now is that the law will severely punish the murderer and grant my son justice. My child died so unjustly,” the victim’s father, Ye Wanhuan, told the media.

Meanwhile, police said that the girl’s eye injury was minor, and it did not affect her ability to attend her classes, AsiaOne reported.

Ye, however, was shocked that a simple classroom incident could end up taking his son’s life.

“In what world do we k‌‌i‌l‌‌l children with knives?” the father continued. “Besides, the students didn’t even have a fight – my son said he accidentally knocked into her.”
