EXO Becomes First K-Pop Group in 18 Years to Hit 10 Million Total Sales

South Korean K-pop group EXO has become the genre’s first artist of the past 18 years to hit 10 million sales in total.
EXO is making history as the artist to have sold over 10 million albums in Korea with their five studio albums plus an assortment of other releases including two mini albums, winter special albums and live albums, according to Naver as translated by Soompi.
EXO is also the first K-pop group to ever become five-time platinum sellers with their fifth album “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” accumulating nearly 1.2 million sold copies as of November 1. All of EXO’s previous albums managed to reach over 1 million copies sold after their release.
The group is topping the charts across the globe, with their latest album landing on the iTunes Top Albums charts in 47 countries, the United World Chart, and Xiami Music’s overall charts. EXO has also made it to the top of different album sales charts and received music show wins.
