Dwayne Johnson surprises young fan battling bone cancer with in-person lunch

What happened: In a video posted on his Instagram page on Sunday, Johnson explains that a young fan of his named Luna Perrone (@luna_perrone), who has been suffering from bone cancer for years, recently learned that her cancer had spread. After planning a lunch for Luna and her family at the Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, Johnson told them that he unfortunately would not be able to be present for the lunch in person.

In reality, Johnson planned to be the one who brought out Luna’s meal to her personally.

“Her name is Luna Perrone, I have been following her for a while now. She is my biggest fan. I am her biggest fan. We have never met,” Johnson says in the hotel’s kitchen before the surprise.

The meal: With a plate of chicken tenders and fries in hand, Johnson can be seen walking out to a shocked Luna, who is too stunned to speak. Mouth agape, she finally is able to squeak out a “hi” before giving Johnson a hug.

In a post on her own Instagram page, Luna explains that Johnson’s surprise didn’t end there; the “Moana” star also sent her and her entire family to Disneyland for the day.
