A math prodigy chases rap superstardom in trailer for Disney+ musical comedy ‘World’s Best’

Walt Disney Studios unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming musical comedy film, “World’s Best,” on Wednesday.
The new film follows Prem Patel, a 12-year-old math genius who finds out that his late father was once a famous rapper. Inspired by this discovery, Prem decides to pursue a career in music and become a rap superstar.
“World’s Best,” directed by physician-turned-filmmaker Roshan Sethi, is produced by Kate Sullivan and Thomas Kail (“Hamilton”). Its screenplay was written by Jamie King and “Never Have I Ever” actor Utkarsh Ambudkar, who also stars as Prem’s father, Suresh.
In addition to Ambudkar, “World’s Best” also stars Manny Magnus, Punam Patel, Jake Choi, Max Malas, Piper Wallace, Kayla Njeri, Dorian Giordano, Kathryn Greenwood, Christopher Jackson and Doug E. Fresh.
“World’s Best” will be available for streaming on Disney+ on June 23. Check out its official trailer below:
