A picture of shirtless Kim was featured during Ali Wong’s segment on “Ellen.” The actress joked that she made the movie to kiss the Asian American male actors Kim and Keanu Reeves.
“I kiss a lot of sexy men. I kiss Daniel Dae Kim,” she said. “I kiss Keanu Reeves. I basically made Netflix spend all this money on a movie just so I could kiss Daniel Dae Kim and Keanu Reeves.”
Kim posted a screenshot of the show and made an “all jokes aside post” praising Wong’s commitment to her craft and making sure that everyone on the set of the Netflix movie were well.
“She’s…one of the hardest working, kindest, most down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet,” he wrote.
He wrote about how other stars in the industry should take a “lesson.” What comes to mind is the recent Twitter breakdown from actress Constance Wu.
Kim also wrote that Wong is quietly raising the image of Asian and Asian American men.
Ending with a plug for “Always Be My Maybe,” Kim mentioned one last important fact about Wong: “She SLAYS in this movie.”
