Jackie Chan, who plays one half of the iconic duo in the “Rush Hour” film series, seemingly confirmed last year that “Rush Hour 4” was happening, but on one condition: if Chris Tucker, who plays LAPD Detective James Carter, is up for it.
Now, it seems like another “Rush Hour” movie will become a reality as Tucker reiterated his co-star’s words at a recent appearance on ESPN’s The Plug podcast.
“It’s happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes,” the 46-year-old actor said. “Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”
Chan reportedly had a plan in case Tucker decided to hang up the badge in “Rush Hour 4.” In an interview last year on the Today show, the 63-year-old martial artist and actor said that he would kill off Tucker’s character if he didn’t agree to another film.
It’s still unclear if everyone will return in the fourth film, particularly director Brett Ratner, who is facing sexual assault allegations from several female celebrities.
Nevertheless, fans are still excited for the news because they will get to see their favorite duo again on the big screen!
One Twitter user is more hyped for “Rush Hour 4” than the “Avengers: Infinity War” movie, but we totally get it.
