Chinese Model Slips on Runway During Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Ming Xi, who has been a regular at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since 2013, slipped in her high heels while strutting down the runway wearing a long flowing attire at the Mercedes Benz Arena.

While the 28-year-old fell to her knees, she managed to keep her composure, holding onto her gigantic headgear and maintaining a lovely smile the entire time. She recovered flawlessly, making a quick adjustment to her saucy, metallic and royal blue outfit after getting back up.

Fellow model Gizele Oliveira, who was right behind her in line, quickly assisted Ming.

Despite the minor hiccup, Ming retained her glamorous look, earning praise from fans for how well she handled what could have been an embarrassing situation.

“I’m sorry I disappointed everyone, thank you all for your concern, being a model for 7 years, I’ve fallen countless times on the way… but I know regardless how painful it is, I have to stand up, finish walking. I’ll continue walking on. TY,” Ming would later post on her Weibo account.

A graduate of Shanghai Donghua University majoring in fashion design and acting, Ming became one of the most popular Chinese models just a few years after placing third in the Elite Model Look competition in 2010. She got her international modeling career off to a great start in 2011 after walking her global runway debut for the Givenchy Haute Spring Show.
