BTS’s J-Hope makes viral appearance at airport on his way to NYC for New Year’s Eve solo performance

Before leaving for New York City to perform on New Year’s Eve, BTS’ J-Hope’s adorable greetings to fans (ARMY) went viral on Twitter.
As J-Hope arrived at the Incheon International Airport for his departure on Tuesday, he was greeted by a crowd of ARMY and reporters. In response to his cheering supporters, the rapper blew kisses and made hearts with his arms as he posed for various photos.
Known for his stylish sense of fashion, J-Hope arrived in a black turtleneck, gray double-breasted blazer and coat and wide-legged jeans complete with a yellow handkerchief tied around his polka-dot bag and a silver chain around his neck.
Loving the cute photos and videos, ARMY made sure to express their love online and wish J-Hope a safe flight.
The popular band member made sure to give fans a quick update through his Instagram stories.
Upon his arrival in New York, J-Hope posted another update with the caption: “Hope right here.”
J-Hope also shared a quick sneak peek of his upcoming performance, captioning his Instagram post: “IM READY ✌️.”
The K-pop star is expected to perform a medley of three songs — “= (Equal Sign),” “Chicken Noodle Soup” and “Butter (Holiday Remix)” — alongside Jax, Ciara, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, Dove Cameron, Wiz Khalifa and more.
Before 2022, J-Hope and his fellow BTS members performed on the iconic TV special in 2017 and 2019.
Fans can watch J-Hope’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” solo debut performance on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
