Netflix announces ‘Bling Empire: New York’ spin-off
Netflix has announced a “Bling Empire” spin-off set in New York.
The reality show, which follows wealthy Asians and Asian Americans, will be expanding with a new location: New York City.
The spinoff features some of New York’s richest Asian Americans, including Dorothy Wang, who was a cast member in “Bling Empire” Season 2. The New York cast will also be joined by Hong Kong fashion stylist Tina Leung, founder of modeling agency Dreamodels Deborah Hung and Hong Kong business magnate Stephen Hung.
On Tuesday, Netflix dropped its official teaser for “Bling Empire: New York” Season 1.
“Meet a fresh group of wealthy, sophisticated and hilarious Asian-Americans from New York City, where the quality of real estate is measured by address, not acreage. Conversations are direct, not coded. And competition – for love, for money, and for power – is fierce. Billionaires, CEOs, and fashion icons – it’s a city where you can be anything you want to be,” Netflix wrote.
The series is produced by Jeff Jenkins Productions, with Jenkins, Elise Chung, Russell Jay-Staglik, Ross Weintraub, Lenid Rolov and Reinout Oerlemans as executive producers.
Netflix has yet to announce the premiere date for “Bling Empire: New York.” In the meantime, Season 3 of “Bling Empire” premiered on Netflix on Wednesday.
