All-female K-Pop group Blackpink has set a new record for the fastest music video to reach 100 million views on YouTube.
The popular South Korean group’s latest video “Kill This Love” took just two days and 14 hours to surpass 100 million hits, according to the group’s management company, YG Entertainment.
Published at midnight on Friday, the music video received over 10 million views in just four hours and 13 minutes.
In its first 24 hours, the video earned 56.7 million views on YouTube, surpassing Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next”, which got 56.4 million hits 24 hours after being released on Nov. 30, Billboard reports.
It then eventually set the record of exceeding 100 million hits at around 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Psy, another popular South Korean artist, previously held the record with the song “Gentleman.”
Blackpink fans, collectively known as “Blinks,” took to Twitter to celebrate the group’s impressive feat.
Made up of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, the record-breaking four-person group was formed in 2016.
